Rob has lived and worked
in Harlow for over 10
years, and was elected
Member of Parliament in
2010.
While he was brought up
down the road in North
London, his relative
owned John Walton
Clothes Shop that was in
Harlow Town Centre for
many years and opened by
Arthur Askey in the
1950s.
Living in Harlow and
like so many local
residents Rob loves
football and goes to
Harlow Town F.C.
occasionally, although
he is a staunch Chelsea
supporter. He is proud
that it was Harlow boy
Glen Hoddle that not
only did so much for
Spurs, but was the man
who began to turn
Chelsea into a top club.
Rob also loves watches
and has a huge
collection. He is a
regular at the Eversden
family watch shop in the
Harvey Centre!
Rob is a huge curry fan
- the constituency has
plenty of great curry
houses. He reads loads
of books and adores the
countryside.
Rob enjoys travel too.
He was privileged to go
to Rwanda to teach
English on a special
project called Umubano
(fellowship) - a moving
and wonderful
experience.
Rob keeps a daily blog -
