Can I just say whilst I don't agree with all of david camerons policies it was so nice to see you at william martin christmas fete! you are the only one that seems to put real effort in and people recognise you for that. this in itself makes a refreshing change from unapproachable and unhelpful other MPs. so keep up your good work and happy new year! Amanda Chandler, Harlow resident

TORY MP Robert Halfon champions the return of 10p income tax... And Labour should be embarrassed – embarrassed the party isn’t arguing for its return to introduce progressive 10p, 20p, 30p, 40p and 50p bands. Kevin Maguire, Daily Mirror

Everything Harlow (news)

Here in Harlow we are blessed with an MP who sees no need for a second home, is completely transparent in his claims for expenses and also works tirelessly for all of his constituents. Small wonder then that he is listed as one of last year's top Britons by one national daily. Mike Audritt, Harlow Resident

Dear Robert, Thank you for your continued support for traditional marriage and for being prepared to stand up for your beliefs. Thank you also for writing to David Cameron about the Gilden Way development and the way that local people's views are being disregarded. This green field site is very important and I would urge you to continue to fight for brown field sites to be developed instead. Thank you for all of your hard work for individuals and for the good of our town! Jane Carrington, Harlow resident

The way you and the Coalition Government have acted in this matter is a great example of how Parliament can and should react to the voice of the people. (On the future of the forests in the UK) Alan, CM20

I have not always made an attempt to vote in the past. However I really loved the spirit of your campaigning, the fact that you stood out every day in the rush hour with your big sign, smiling even when it was raining! I remember going into the town centre and speaking to you and I said how important it was at the time that something was done about the fast-rising fuel prices. I just wanted to thank you for the hard work you are doing on our behalf. I`m glad I voted for you, as you have attempted to do what you said you would. Andrea, CM20

Thank you for your efforts in ending the menace of the constantly recurring broken glass in the play areas in the park at Sumners. Following your visit to Halyday House a couple of months ago when I raised the problem, the situation has improved beyond recognition, & I no longer approach the areas concerned with trepidation, worrying that one or more of my three dogs will be injured & vet bills incurred for treatment of lacerated paws, & possible infection. Erin, Winnie, Annie & I are most grateful for your kind intervention! Barney Webb, Harlow resident

I know you are doing a great job for us in this town. Bill, CM18

During the election I voted Lib Dem... If the general election was tomorrow I would vote Conservative without a doubt and would like to thank you and your party for the fabulous job you have done so far. Carl, CM20

Thank you very much for your quick response with advice to our problem with getting BT phone connections. Isn't it wonderful when its possible to speak with people who are willing to help! Chair of Governors, Purford Green Primary School, Harlow

I am very happy to both support and pay tribute to the effort of Robert Halfon. He is a model example of how an individual member of Parliament can make a real difference, by identifying an issue where they can transform people`s prospects. His work on apprenticeships is a credit to him. Chris Grayling MP - Employment Minister

To his credit, Robert Halfon [is a supporter of trade unions]. Robert wrote a pamphlet in March entitled ‘Stop the Union Bashing’. Much as it pains me, Robert points out in his pamphlet that almost a third of trade union members in this country are thought to be Conservative voters. Chuka Umunna MP, Business Spokesman for the Labour Party

Cllr Simon Carter

I'm delighted that a University Technical College will now open in Harlow. It was thanks especially to two years of solid hard work from Robert Halfon MP, who has campaigned publicly and behind the scenes. From the beginning, Rob has worked tirelessly to make this happen. He is passionate about apprenticeships - and even employs a Harlow College apprentice in his office. Colin Hindmarch, Principal of Harlow College

You have been very helpful with our case.  Your time, interest and words of encouragement have indeed been very uplifting for us. Di, CM18

Dear Robert, I would just like to say THANK YOU for the help that you have given to Safer Places. I attended a meeting of Trustees earlier this week when I was told that you had been very helpful such that they were hopeful of a good outcome to potential problems from the new Benefits system. It is a matter of extreme importance to all the Trustees of Safer Places, so again thank you for your help and we look forward to your continued support. Edna Stevens, Labour Councillor for Harlow

Do pass on our congratulations to Robert for his sterling efforts in Parliament yesterday.  We have all been greatly encouraged by his stand on fuel prices which is effecting the people of Harlow and around the UK. Gary Knott, Director of Community Services MRCT

I should pay tribute to my friend Robert Halfon. He has led a dogged campaign on behalf of the people of Harlow - and indeed the whole country - to try and get some relief from the increases in petrol taxes that were planned by the last Labour Government. I am delighted that we have been able to help. And of course I always listen to Essex Man, and its representative in the form of Robert Halfon. George Osborne MP - Chancellor of the Exchequer

It was so nice to meet you at yesterdays Jubilee event in the park. I was the lady who came to speak to you just as you were about to leave. Once again I wanted to thank you for the work you do on our behalf and just let you know that some of us, at least, appreciate the effort you make in going to events such as that. I believe that it makes you appear much more as part of the community, more accessible to people and therefore it reinforces the belief, with me at least, that you are the right choice to be our MP. Julie Tassie, Harlow resident

Thank you so much for your speedy reply, Robert and your honest answer. Do you fancy being an Independent MP? I'm only joking (in one sense). I think you're the best MP this constituency has ever had and I will do all that I can to support you. Stephen Long, Harlow resident
